If you are using one of the newer Microsoft keyboards, you may have to toggle F Lock.

yea i have one of the new keyboards and i have (F lock) which needs to be pressed in order to use F keys but any ways you dont have to use paint. You can you Flash or even photoshop so dont let paint hold you back
