[Locked] Redirect Attack

While viewing this manga I was redirected to a video site (around page 6) that asked me to install a codec or something. I closed down IE from the process tree (I know I should use firefox or chrome, but I prefer to keep hentai browsing in a place where I can easily nuke all history and cookies from orbit, seperate from regular browsing。。。。。and too many sites are incompatible with chrome.... though perhaps use framework?).
Anyway, it took a few tries to close down IE remotely (it kept trying to reopen to that page).

I do nightly scans with spybot and avast; I have no problems on any other sites in IE or Firefox or Chrome, only Fakku. I'm guessing one of the ad sites is hijacked; I ran into a similar ad a month or so ago, and again it happened during one of the ad-fades, so I assumed it was related to the advertisements.
Scanning computer again, but again, it only appeared on Fakku, and this one showed up just the once (went back, haven't seen it again). Similar situation last month, though it simply opened a popup, that was easily closeable (fake virus scan site that time, I think).

funny how i read that one yesterday and nothing happened. I highly doubt Fakkus ads got high jacked. I would get ad aware for your computer, or possibly AVG, they are both good ad/virus protectors.

I've read this one too with no issue. Unpantsu did make reference to the potential redirections in some newer mangas in a similar thread. However he also said that they only could come around in short pockets due to the fast response time of himself and other administrators and the Google ads dept, banning such ads from their service fairly fast. I'm not too worried about this. But I would suggest that we all keep our eyes open to see if it becomes more prevalent.

I like to bump this thread due to the fact that I've come across this type of situation. Luckily, thanks to firefox, the ads that usually show up while reading often redirect you to a site that will try to install programs or access your information. This problem is becoming more frequent when reading the mangas.

Have also had redirects, new install of Win 7. Have cleaned with MS Sec Essentials (fully updated) and also ran deep scans with PXE command line versions of Symantec Enterprise, ESET, Panda and McAfee. Also have run HiJack this to check for any possibilities of reg edits, what not.
Nada... redirects appear to be coming from the ads.

It seems more appropriate to continue this thread than start my own for a similar problem, it's likely to be exactly what's being talked about.
Until recently I've used Adblock Plus here out of sheer laziness, but since Jacob more than deserves the revenue I've disabled it on Fakku starting the other night. And now I've received this warning:
It was while attempting to view HHH Triple H Chapter 3. And before anyone says malware, no that's not the problem I have ZoneAlarm set to scan weekly and this only started once I disabled Adblock Plus. Dunno if the screen shot I posted is going to be any help to Jacob and the staff, but it feels wrong to complain without posting as much info as possible haha.

Next time go to the actual website to see the site and then kill the virus when you are done. Also for everyone who is afraid of getting it just copy the ip address go to internet options got to privacy-sites paste the ip address and click block.
