I think it would be nice to be able to favorite artists as well as individual comics.
I tend to just fav everything by the same artist. if i had the ability to fave the artist as well, which i think would be easier. it could attach to the artist page instead of to individual comics.

This is a suggestion that has come up many, MANY times before, so I'll just say this:
They'll probably get around to it when they get done handling all the bugs that the site has. Be patient.

There is no schedule for "bugs" or new features so promising anything especially when we've never alluded to this being a feature we might add in the future a poor idea. The best you can hope for on this is that Jacob sees the suggestion but for now he seems to be busy with con work so don't expect any traction on this in the near future.
