Hello,
It's been a long time i've posted here, but after all the shit with exhentai being purged, i'm a bit lost so well, i have questions.
- are you going to be the only publisher for these doujins/mangas?
- is it only for USA? Considering some doujins by Memeya where "unavailable for my country" (here on the site)
- what are gonna be the prices for the doujins? Seems some of them on your store are way overpriced compared to the prices on JP sites like mandarake... (i can read japanse to some extent, translated doujins can always be interesting to help me improve) I understand translators/editors/etc... must be paid, but wel... do we need all of that to fap?
- What about the concurrence? This is related to the prices, but what are you (or Wani books) going to do with JP sites that sell digital copy of doujins/mangas (in japanese, sure it's a difference) at local JP prices? The yen is weaker than the dollar (which is way weaker than euro or pounds) Saving money in these days and age is quite a necessity...
- i'm wondering if it's gonna be profitable for the doujinkas. For the hmangas, we know they're published as tankobons, with ISBN and barcode, a publisher, etc... I do understand Wani has rights on them, no problem there. But doujins? They're self-published by the circles, they're barely tolerated in Japan (let's not forget the doujinkas are using characters they've no legal rights on, and in sexual depictions. I really doubt Sunrise is happy when they draw Love Live girls being raped by dirty men, for example) So in this case, only the "big" circles that happen to also publish manga (or part of them) are gonna get money. Isn't that going to kill smaller circles?
My suggestions:
- Please communicate about the prices asap.
- What about a monthly subscription like Crunchyroll? (not more than 5 bucks i mean) I'd be a subscriber immediately! (especially with a decent mobile app to read on the go)
Hope i'll get an answer, and that my suggestions will help,
Akuma
