I got the game with the HF patch uncensored, which also fixes the illusion typical "problems". I think Illusion also knows that this patch is available. And they rest on it.
What annoys me much more is the fact that Koikatsu has now disappeared from the German stream market. I'm afraid that one day I'll have to reinstall it and it's gone. If it is up to the government, I am incredibly upset. Because it still lives in the Middle Ages when it comes to the Internet. I just hope I didn't buy it so that one day I wouldn't be able to play it anymore.
And I hope we can still see the DLCs on fakku.
The game isn't going to disappear from your library on Steam. Just expect that more and more games are going to be region locked and blocked in Germany.

Look, I'm on Steam too but I don't have the mindset to "support Steam". After all these years Valve has earned tons and tons of money, they don't really need our support any more. Furthermore Steam is a pain in the ass and not reliable when it comes to hentai games, their decisions are so damn arbitrary whether a game get greenlit or not. Then out of the blue some games disappear, become region locked or what ever.
Support the developers, artists and your freedom by buying the culture content here on FAKKU, MangaGamer or any other DRM free source. I bought so many books and doujins here on FAKKU, only because they are uncensored
and DRM free. I appreciate that so much :)
What GOG is to games is FAKKU to our beloved culture content. I couldn't be more happier.
Why would Steam be reliable for Adult games? Is Steam an adult game publisher? No. They have far more to lose. The rules are pretty simple, and it's basically that they don't want anything that could be considered grey area on the store, or anything that has real life models on the store. That's pretty much it.
I wouldn't ever expect Valve to go out and fight for this kind of content though... Why would they? If they think something can do serious damage to them, they're not going to ship it. Steam is also global, and must follow every countries laws for that kind of thing. Which is why we see the Germany complaints. Those people need to complain to their government and not Valve.
As for the DRM comments, I'll say that usually anything that is DRM free somewhere else is also DRM free on Steam. There's thousands of DRM free games on Steam. All these adult games that release on Steam are DRM free, require no log in, and are free to do whatever you want with. Steam itself isn't a DRM; the optional DRM is part of Steamworks. The Steam Store itself is nothing more than a store and distribution platform. No different from you have an account here on FAKKU to purchase and download, except that there's a client you have installed for purchasing and distributing on Steam.
I do encourage not buying on Steam though, and instead through FAKKU, Mangagamer, JAST USA, etc, because they're the ones who are responsible for the licensing of the titles. Japanese studios self publishing on Steam is not a good thing (like what Illusion did with Koikatsu). For one, there's no one holding them accountable for the English translation except for the studio themselves. Maybe it's good or maybe it's not. Two, a Japanese company self publishing still has to follow Japanese law. So that means forced mosaics.
The reality is that these companies should be working with a FAKKU, Mangagamer, etc, so the game can be properly localized and distributed for Western audiences. Mosaics is not a proper Western release, and never is okay. That is the number one reason for me not buying something. Point is you should be supporting the people who fight for this industry and content, and that's not Steam.
