I iz confused

So I payed for a promo thing on facebook (band related stuff) a few weeks ago using paypal and I figured it took the money out of my account instantly. Well I just got the receipt via email now. The odd thing about it is that it took money from my bank account that I don't have to pay for it today, as well as the little bit remaining in my paypal account. I actually have an overdraft that I need to pay so there is $0 in there, I also don't have a credit card attached to my account. I honestly don't know how the hell money just appears out of thin air to pay for things I thought I already paid for.
