A short introduction

Hi.
I'm new to this forum, but have been visiting the site for a couple of months. I am a 30+ woman, who currently is a sexology-student. Right now (November 11:th, 2013) I have a course in which we learn about representations of sexuality in art, movies and litterature. As a part of that course we study representations of sexuality on the internet, and that's what originally lead me to this site. Apart from an interest in human sexuality and sexual behavior I also like japanese manga, anime, culture etc. well, that the short-short version of me.

That actually sounds fairly interesting. You should definitely look into the Love,Romance,and Relationship section if you haven't already.

Thanks for the tip. Right now I'm checking out all the different tags and try to wrap my head around those representations, but surely I'll look into the romance ones too now. I'll definitely stick around. I really enjoy it here.

It really is an intresting course, and since it's part og a Master's programme the fun doesn't stop there. I am very happy to say that reading hentai, slash-fiction etc is all apart of my education. *S*

What kind of professions do you plan to go into with a sexology course in your resume? Just curious? Also, what else interests you?

Thanks Artcellrox. About the profession, I till haven't decided yet. A dream if mine is to work with sexology and sexual-political issues on an european or global basis in some way. I would also enjoy being able to work with sexual research, but it's kind of hard getting a PhD position, which is the first step. So a more realistic alternative would be to work as a counselor or with national Public Health issues i some way.
Other interests are video-games (RPGs mostely), cooking, hanging out with friends and reading.

Artcellrox: well, I really like Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX,XII, StarOcean (started with the newest one and now I've started with the first one), Suikoden (Have payed II & V), Tales of graces, Nino Kuni... I really don't have one specific favourite, usually I'm just really into the one I play for the moment.
One thing though, I really don't like games that are hard since playing, for me, is for relaxation and enjoying a (hopefully) good story and not for making me frustrated over a nasty boss. *S*
