Belated Member: Hello Fakku!

Yo! My name is Eddy and I'm a 19 year-old college student. I'm not exactly sure what I'd like as a career but I would like something involving writing and English. A professor, maybe?

Well, I play the classical guitar, write, read, watch anime, read some good hentai now and then.

I like anime, ecchi, and hentai, but I keep this hobby hushed. It's not because I'm ashamed but it's just something touch nowadays (I live in the U.S.). Does anyone feel or do the same?

Hey there Eddy. Im Miguel. I feel your struggle on the Hentai / Fakku thing too. I'm not ashamed, and would proudly read a fakku or Hentai book in public but the laws and the way people think here would land me in custody of the feds, so it's kinda hard.

I think the otaku culture is for those who truly enjoy it and see the beauty and art in it. So I guess it's natural that not everyone will feel the same.

At least we can enjoy our hobby, that is certain!

That's true for sure. I feel once Jacob makes the push and starts producing loli books and all the other goodies the site loves, it'll slowly roll in as maybe not something as much as what some may call extreme taboo or even regular taboo, but just another genre of everyday porn. As for the art, there is tons of art but I feel, like with what I do in flameworking (being making functional glass (Stoners favourite form of art)) it'll be something that may come into more play and effect within the next generation (the Highschoolers and middle schoolers of modern day)
