First post and several questions

Hi everyone,
My curiosity has gotten the better of me and I decided to register for these forums to ask some questions. First, a little about me:
Mid 30s US male, happily married, boring job, etc etc. Stumbled on this site a few years back looking for wallpapers but didn't stick around b / c some of the comics with younger looking characters made me nervous. I have always been into art and animation (and sex!) but had no interest in anything faintly containing that style of story. On another site I found some comics about an office lady (Hanna? I think was the series name) that was well drawn and fun, but having no information about this kind of stuff I didn't really look into it further.
Recently a friend at work turned me on to a show on Netflix called Sword Art Online that is awesome! I had in the past watched Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Hunter D, and Blood and loved them all. SAO has gotten me interested in anime / manga again and so I came back here to ask for advice. So here goes:
1. What do the different tags on comics here mean? I like stuff that feature clearly drawn adults (housewife / office / etc) as well as series related stuff (is there such thing as Vampire Hunter D fan comics?) But some (read: most) of the tags are unfamiliar to me.
2. What are the typical age / sex / locale / job ratios here? Meaning, took me a while to be willing to even post this and if everyone here is like 19 then I'm probably not going to be comfortable posting that often. Anyone out there close to my age?
3. Is there anything I should flat out avoid? We are very sex positive in our marriage (we've tried quite a bit) and I think erotic comics are perfectly ok, but I have no interest in coming across anything that is not above board (legally speaking) in the US. I live in a VERY conservative party of the country.

1. You could simply click on the tag, and it'll take you to the page of that tag, which will usually have a description at the top. Alternatively... there's always Google.
2. Of the active users I know, average age seems to be concentrated around early 20s, though some outliers exist (and unfortunately for you, they're mostly on the younger side than the older).
3. Honestly, loli might be the only thing that might get you in real trouble here, but that's a rarity on the site at the moment.

Pretty much what art said: google for the first if there is no definition, the site has a younger population, but there are some older people that post occasionally, and if you are looking for sex positive then probably avoid incest, schoolgirl, and some forced/NTR. Other then that all I can say is welcome.

Thanks for the replies. I do have another question. Are there different names for the art styles found in ecchi / hentai? For instance, an art friend ordered a book with pics from a show called Starless? but when it arrived it had some crazy scenes in it (like animals / defecation). But we both thought the rest of the book (vanilla kind of stuff) looked amazing. How do I find that style of rendering / finishing without just blindly clicking on random stuff? Can you guys recommend artist names who have a very finished clean linework style similar to what I'm referencing? (Wish I had an example to post). Anyway, thanks again!

Some good artists I can think off hand are NaPaTa, Distance, Homunculus, Ozaken, Miyahara Ayumu, Fukuyama Naoto, Fuuga, Taropun, LUNCH. The art is good, story telling is good, and majority vinalla/happy-sex. There will be some potentional forced and incest mixed in, but honestly it's not that bad.
Some stories I can reccomend that weren't included within the above mentioned artists are Girlfriend-Friend, Velvet Kiss, and Two Siblings’ Fela Pure (yes this is an incest story, but the art and sex scenes are very well done.... honestly I just ignore the fact that they are siblings in most cases, but to each their own).
The Lusty Lady Project is a Scanlator group that usually translates very vinalla works so you could check under their name.
Other then that you will just have to do a search for yourself for any more material. Stick to tags on here such as vinalla (exlucde NTR and incest). Some other sites use the term "happy sex".

Among artists I'd recommend there is Yamatogawa and Ishikei.
They both have a very good artstyle.
Both are pretty vanilla, Yamatogawa add fantasy in some of his stuff and Ishikei add incest sometimes (especially in titikei).
I do recommend Velvet Kiss and Love on the Job, both by the same author, which I just forgot... Again.
