If you don't mind me asking, disability?
Well, I have shrapnel in my shoulder, behind my ear, and under my right armpit from an IED I hit in 2009 that they'll probably never be able to remove which feels indescribably weird when it's going to rain. I have had 5 concussions and the last one gave me a TBI (traumatic brain injury) that has screwed up my memory something fierce. I'm an inch shorter than I was 6 years ago because all the weight we would carry on patrols and forced marches compacted my spine down some. Also it made me flat footed but that's not part of the disability. My knees and wrists crunch wen they move. Knees from carrying the weight and wrists from a combination of shooting the machine guns and getting up and down during buddy rushes.
The bad news is that someday I'm going to have some serious arthritis. Probably around my late 30s. The good news is it doesn't hurt much right now and, following my mantra, I refuse to worry about something that might happen later! :)
And that's the third time I've read a post and someone says be wary. Be wary of what?
