Hello there! I balance my otaku tendencies by using my iPod and my phone. In my spare time I read manga or check on my favorite anime. that and I barely sleep anymore, insomnia is a bitch!

To answer your question I set aside time for anime/manga/hentai at the end of my day. It's usually about an hour or so before I go to sleep or once I feel that I've accomplished everything that I've set out to do for the day. Sure it may dig into my sleep time, but to me it seems like a fair trade.

I myself always watch anime & manga daily, whenever I have to go college, I listen to vocaloids and stuff, everything in my life is otaku related, luckily lot of my friends share the same hobbies, the more the merrier!

I find that my hobby doesn't interfere with my career, I work in high-end commercial and residential automation, since most of whom i work with have the same hobbies. Weekends for shows, and i read for maybe 2hrs a day during the week.

Short answer: Money.
But welcome welcome, enjoy your stay, and I don't balance my time....it consumes me...not really lol just during gaps, free time, weekends is how i usually get my pleasures in.

Balancing Otaku-ness can be tricky for me. My room ='s the living room of my 1 bedroom apartment I share with... my mom. (it's excusable, I'm 18 and only graduating highschool just now, like 2 weeks from now. )
But you can see why that makes coming to Fakku tricky. Other than that, I'm a huge gamer; I've got a 360, Ps3, Wii (died recently), and a steam account so there's plenty to do besides anime. Besides Fakku I get my anime from netflix.
