Sup Dudes!
Been reading hentai since my youth (currently 20 going on 21 in August) and cannot believe how many awesome artists I have been introduced to!!!!
My very first erotic manga book was "Yuria 100 Shiki". I saw a particularly odd scene where a woman was naked...?!
I knew right then and there that this was no ordinary manga. I was totally aroused and google searched more of it. It was then that I came across Kiyoshirou Inonu's "The Job of a Service Committee Member". This Tankoubon really set the bar for any and all ero-manga artists I would happen across in the years to come, and has been my all time favorite since. The framing, drafting, and composition were not something I could truly appreciate at the time, but this particular artists skills were a cut above the rest; something even a 13 year old me could understand. No other ero-artist has been able to live up to these standards set by Inoue-sensei, but there are a large variety that still hold lasting appeal to me, such as:
Pija - (Probably the closest you'll get to Kiyoshirou Inoue. Too bad he doesn't really release new content anymore...)
Bobobo - (Will always be the KING of buxom beauties)
Ishikei - (Not a huge fan of his manga work, but has some of the best illustrations in the game; creating a nice blend of realism and anime through a skilled understanding of color theory)
Asanagi - (Not my favorite in terms of the content, but one of the best when it comes to dynamic scenes in h-manga. The use of expressions is timeless and often "meme worthy". His art is very standard, when it comes to manga, but maintains this level of maturity and eroticism. His use of dark tones is very reminiscent of that of Inoue-sensei's; which often give off an eerie vibe when applied to certain scenes and characters. If it wasn't for the rape (all the time) he would be one of my top three artists.)
Menea the Dog - (What can I say about this particular artist. Well, in my opinion, he would thrive in a more mainstream profession in relation to manga. His use of comedy in every one of his works is priceless at their best, and only slightly cheesy at their worst. I like the sex, but always hope too see more of the characters he writes afterwards.)
Killiu - (Killiu-sensei doesn't necessarily have the best artistic skill, but his unique design and expressive dynamism (along with some, often violent, but comedic situations) make up for it. His highlight (in my opinion) is his multi-work series "The Girl Who Will Investigate Anything", which is the simple, yet hilarious story, about a high school girl who investigates various (often sex related) mysteries, only to end up getting used and raped in the process. Now I understand that rape isn't funny, but the situations themselves are so ridiculous, you can't help but have a laugh. And the simple, yet funny, designs don't help. Anyway, Killu-sensei is an acquired taste, because his art is certainly not what you are used to. It's more "cartoonish"?)
etc.
I love hentai! It gets me off, and introduces me to awesome artists I would never have found otherwise (save a few who have recently gone mainstream: Synecdoche and 774 Nanashi (both of their manga can be purchased in English now).
I hope Fakku translates more of these great works, and continues to offer artists the chance to have readers experience their work the way it was supposed to be experienced: Uncensored :)
NICE TO FAP WITH YOU ALL!!! :D
