I have a bad habit of joining forums and forgetting to make an intro thread. ><
Better late than never I guess.
Anyway I am a 20 year old Christian Texan male. My original plan was to get my bachelors in computer science from UNT. I was then going to pursue a career in video game development(don't we all at some point). After 2 years of community college I put that plan on hold and actually decided to join the Army. A part time job at Pizza Hut while going to classes full time just wasn't working out. This way I will get paid decently, have my classes paid for, and have some useful training. I will also be getting a top secret clearance which is useful for getting jobs at places like Raytheon or other military contractors. The biggest downside is being away from family and not having a ton of time to do classes, but it will be worth it I think. My MOS(job) is 35F or Intelligence Analyst. Apparently the job description is quite vague and that is mostly due to the secretive work involved.
I love video games but be warned, I am not a PS3 fan. PC and Xbox 360 are my platforms of choice. Starcraft II, Call of Duty, UFC, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 3, and Madden 12 are what I currently play the most. I have too much time on my hands now since I don't ship out for basic until late August. My favorite games of all time would have to be, in no particular order, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, CoD 4, CoD Black Ops, WoW, FFVII, Halo, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, and the list can go on.
My favorite anime are Code Geass, FMA and FMA:Brotherhood, Bleach, Soul Eater, Death Note, Ghost in the Shell, and FLCL. I also enjoyed old school Digimon and Pokemon. And believe it or not that list was not because of Adult Swim.
I don't get offended easily, so feel free to ask any questions.
