Hello ladies and gents
As I finally made Elder I thought it appropriate to introduce my self to the people outside Computers and Technology.
The Facts
I am finishing my Master in Computer Science, and expecting to start my PhD at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in September.
I am from Denmark
I am 26 years old.
I am a Guy [size=10](very important so no one else tries to whore me off to the noobs in the IRC #fakku channel again..)[/h]
I am straight [size=10](apperently fakku prefers to assume otherwise, so this too is important.)[/h]
I can play one type of flute and the tuba quite well.
Windows IS NOT part of my education
Interests
Manga - especially the hentai sub group :D
Anime
Computers - both practical and theoretical.
Almost anything that is a gadget or classified as technology
Trying new beers
Trying new types of Mead (honey wine, Vikings drank it, and I am a decedent from them, so it is appropriate I guess)
Like playing table soccer
Heavy Rock and some metal, at the present: Delain, Within Temptation, Flyleaf, Xandria, Eqypt Central
Japanese culture [size=10](japan has been incredibly good at exporting their culture to Denmark, almost all people know several facts about Japan)[/h]
Linux - Mainly Debian/KDE
Random Fakku acknowledgments [size=11](is random, so do not feel sad if I forget you, I have a poor memory)[/h]
Tegumi, she immediately put down my first post here, and was sort of mean to me. I have had nothing but respect for her since then.
Nashrakh, because he made the first thread I have ever seen congratulating another user for becoming an elder, and the thread was about me :)
THE ECONOMY for being very consistent in his well formulated and sensible posts, and for giving it even when it is clear he will not be taken seriously.

If I have forgotten something or someone the you can just tell me and I may correct it if I agree :)

I can see I forgot an important fact.. (I will correct this)
but please do not, despite what you might think about someone using the majority of the last 6 years almost without any female contact, then I am not yet that desperate..

he he, I do feel old compared to some of the new undergrads, so you were not completely wrong :P
No, I am from Denmark, but my previous supervisor was from Hong Kong so when I went home and was employed in Hong Kong he suggested me to become his student again once I got my masters degree.

Congrat on being an elder and good luck on earning your PhD. It took me 3.5 years.Thank you, several of the Chinese people I talk to have informed me that though it officially only takes 3 years to finish a PhD, then I should expect it to take 4 years in Hong Kong.

Ooh, an elder thread in M&G. Might be the new destination of these ones aside from IB, but well, yours is more introductory than announcing eldership :) Which is really good.
