how to gain acces to the "show contraversial" setting?

i have been trying to find a game called Maitetsu but it seems i have to turn on "show contraversial" in the settings, but that it doesnt show unless you are active, is this true? if so what kind of activities do i have to do and which amount? im hoping this topic gets me one step closer in more than one way..
