A Favorite Sauce?

BBQ, Pasta, Steak, or even dessert sauce, it sauce. It doesn't matter what kind of sauce it is, just share with me your favorite sauce.

For myself, I believe there is nothing better than the richness of a good Hollandaise sauce smothering an open faced sandwich.

What IS Hollandaise sauce, anyway? I had it with my tilapia at IHOP and it was good, but I still have no idea...

It's an emulsion of egg yolks, lemon juice, and butter. REALLY difficult to make, if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

not all of this is sauce,but hell.i still slather it to foods,so...

for desserts : melted chocolate sauce or maple syrup

for BBQ or steak : A-1 or Jack Daniels steak sauce,or make it myself

for sandwiches : HokBen's mayonnaise and mustard

for salads : italian dressing with a bit of honey

for everything else : Apo Ronju brand indonesian super hot n spicy chili sauce

IHOP serves fish?

They also serve pancakes. But you already knew that.

i slather japanese soy sauce to most foods.

Home made blueberry sauce. The most amazing sauce for pancakes. (Along with pure maple syrup...Sugar overload...:D)

Do they ever combine those...like...an Iron Chef Fish Pancake or something...I haven't been to IHOP in like....a 10 years.




Beurre blanc sauces are always good.

I'm a fan of Louisiana Hot Sauce, I put that shit on almost anything.

I've even have put it on Vanilla ice cream before FYI DON'T DO IT

Black pepper sauce. I worship black pepper. My favorite burger is BK Double Black Pepper. I always eat rib steak with black pepper sauce.

For a nice goulash, roulades or roast pork I love red wine sauces in different ways.
For noodles in all the different forms, I like spicey pasta sauces with chili in them.
As for BBQ sauce, I really like an own creation put together with cream + quark as the base and than quite a number of fresh spices and things that I get at the local vegetable market (like spring onions, garlic, chili, basil- garlic oil, chives, tomatoes and so on).
When it comes to steak, I don't use cream, but herb butter. That has the best taste to it together with stake without overlaying the taste of the steak.
