Same thing as with 'Best song/hit of 200X'. It all depends on the most popular and catchy song, and of course, that's obviously the best song released in the whole year.
And stuff like Demians, which is still accessible as hell, get neglected. Why? Because apparently it's too progressive, or in other words, requires to much attention for background music, which is a pain in the ass. Isn't really cool to listen to either I guess, and that aspect is a must.
But I'm drifting off now.
