This is just so that it has a slightly more permanent home than IB; you know the drill, more people see it there, but a topic which took me hours to collect good videos for deserves more. Don't hurt me, rather just delete it if necessary.
Inspired by gentlemen topic; just in the hope that (some) Americans don't only like Monty Python, here are some of my favourite comedians.
Darker humour
Spoiler:
Frankie Boyle, legend of dark comedy
Jimmy Carr; a dark joke machine, quick witted and actually a really nice guy. Saw him live not too long ago.
Compilation
Heckler
Sean Lock; starts out observational, becomes surreal and turns dark. Clever comedy.
Live at the Apollo, just search for other parts
Slightly friendlier humour:
Spoiler:
Eddie Izzard, possibly most famous British comedian in the US anyway. Couple of well known jokes to get you started.
Mitchell and Webb, probably the best duo around at the moment. Just really clever comedy.
Rhod Gilbert, a mad Welshman. I love this video.
Fry and Laurie - not House :P. They were a comedy duo for decades.
Michael McIntyre, the UK's best selling comedian for a reason. Energetic, observational comedy.
Also Blackadder, classic series. Features Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) Fry, Laurie, Tony Robinson + Rik Mayall...all legends. Just search for more, there were four seasons + specials; this is from the fourth, my personal favourite.
I've left out some other greats just because it's almost 3am, feel free to add more. You can easily search for longer compilations + gigs in parts on Youtube; enjoy. :]
Update from the other topic. I almost wish I'd excluded Eddie Izzard now though...him and Monty Python pretty much are British comedy in the US, it seems. :P The point of this topic really is to share some stuff you wouldn't have seen, and the interest is in seeing if anyone likes it. :]
Red Dwarf, classic space sitcom
Trigger Happy TV - Dom Joly masterminding tricks on the public. There was a US version after the British one gained some US success, but methinks it failed without him.
Spoiler:
Balls of Steel - was a group of unknown comedians competing to pull off extreme stunts; includes The Annoying Devil and Neg's Urban Sports, but there were loads of participants (easily found on Youtube).
Eddie Izzard, Monty Python but there's also Dylan Moran & Bill Bailey
who did Black Books together, awesome show and they are great stand ups to.
And Rowan Atkinson deserves some love to.
Sorry GreenZero, but you can probably understand the frustration when you make a topic to advertise other comedians, and the same names come up. :P
Fille, I love Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran, I just couldn't find any good stand-up clips. Bill Bailey does amazing surreal comedy and is a fantastic musician (on the subject of surreal comedy, Ross Noble is another master), and Dylan Moran...pretty much a drunk Irishman ranting. Which is awesome.

Yes drunk Irish ranting is sweet indeed
And and now when we are talking about Irishmen there is Roy (Chris O'Dowd) in IT crowd.
It is pretty funny, but a lot more on the lighter side of comedy
then say black books, but still funny.
