Children Of Bodom,(C.O.B for short) is a melodic death band from Finlad's Helsinki.It was formed in 1993 by the band's vocalist and lead guitarist Alexi Laiho and the band's drummer Jaska Raatikainen.The band has 5 members:
Alexi Laiho(Wildchild)-Lead guitarist-Vocalist
Roop Latvala-Rhythm guitarist
Jane Warman-Keyboardist
Henkka Blacksmith-Bassist
Jaska Raatikainen-Drummer
Until now C.O.B has released 6 albums(without lives and singles) and one DvD:

2000: Follow the Reaper
2003: Hate Crew Deathroll
2005: Are You Dead Yet?
2008: Blooddrunk

To be honest I've only listened to one of their songs so far....that being "Are You Dead Yet?" and I love the guitar riff!

My favorite post 2k band. I first get hooked with Needled 24/7 and the whole album it's with. Trashed Lost and Strung Out is the last track I liked on them but it's probably not their original.

CoBHC one of my 3 favorite bands, I just can't stop listening to them also I want them to record a new cd, Blooddrunk was ok but is not as good as the other ones.

What made me a COB fan at first was not that I actually liked their music, but the fact that those guys are simply good at everything they're doing, and I have a lot of respect for musicians that can show off actual skills with their instruments. COB members are very high-ranked in terms of general skill in my book.
It's not only COB, but also check out the works that some of their members did for Sinergy or the finnish Guitar Hero compilation album, as well as Janne showing off his keyboard skills in his side project band Warmen. Those guys are so good.
