Christmas songs that make your ears bleed.

And not in a good way.

I recently started a new job in retail and usually I can either ignore, tolerate, or (dare I say it?) enjoy the jingles that pour out of our intercom system. But sometimes- about every two hours or so- there are songs that just make me clutch my head and pound it into the nearest clearance rack. Songs so obnoxious and grating they make me want to chew my own tongue in half to escape them. The worst offender, in my opinion, is this piece of tripe:





What has anyone ever done to deserve that? Anyway, in predictable fashion, tell me and all of Fakku what songs grate on your nerves. Let us feel your auditory pain.

The one about the poor kid buying shoes for his dying mom. Makes me wish I were dying so I wouldn't have to listen to that crap.

One of my most feared christmas songs is this little aids tune by Modern Talking. If they play this in a pub while I'm drinking I immediately leave without paying.

Although I agree that this song is painful, it's not a Christmas song. Unless "Little Drummer Boy" has gotten a horribly ghastly update.

I like that Paul McCartney song. Although, if I had to hear it more than one a year, I'd hate it, too.

I hate just about every Christmas song. Traditional songs, songs done by artists to go on new Christmas albums, even parody songs. The only Christmas songs I really like are metal versions of Christmas songs, and even those grate my nerves after a little while.

The one I hate the most, however, is the Carol of the Bells.

The thing is, I don't even hate the song because it sounds bad or because I've heard it too many times. I hate it because of the stupid Burger King parody of it.



Every time I hear the original song, I get the lyrics of the Burger King song stuck in my head. It's hell, I say. HELL!

Hey, at least he showed proper dynamics.
