Well just wondering, my weekend is done I spend the last three days on my feet 8hrs each day, picking up trash etc (i am a janitor for a mall) they stuck me in the food court on Fri. and Sun. so tiring and boring, 8hrs of picking up ppl trash who can't even put food in there mouth without spilling something.....anyway what about the rest of us.??

I voted no, but I feel your pain slightly since I've been "working" a lot the past week, just without pay...On another note I didn't even realize it was thanksgiving till 9 PM!

I didn't have to work, but my mother did. In fact, she had to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was hell. And she didn't work the same time every day, either. She had to work all night Wednesday, then Thursday morning, then during the day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. She's exhausted.

You know, I thought Cracker Barrel was open on Thanksgiving...
My sister lives in some small town in the middle of nowhere right now, and I had a small argument with her on the phone about what places might be open for her and her boyfriend to go to eat at.
But I work at Cheeseburger in Paridise, which was not open on Thanksgiving. I did, however, have to work friday, saturday, and sunday.

I had to work thanksgiving from 1-8pm and black friday from 430pm-12am but I got time and a half for both days

If I am not wrong, there are certain jobs in which employees get paid extra for working on weekends or night shifts right? Thankfully, I get to rest on weekends, though they always seem to pass far too quickly...

It's a real holiday. Just not in your country. Just like Guy Fawkes Day isn't be a real holiday in the US, but it is in England.

Its not the best job, but at least you don't have to be sober when you're doing it. I haven't been able to "work" for a while since my town is dry and there aren't any actual places to get a legitimate job.
