Do you think this sounds like the 80's?

I do like this song by the black eyed peas (though I'm a fan of them in general), but I noticed a lot of people comment on how it sounds like the 80's.

When I heard it I didn't notice it sounding like the 80's at all, and I enjoy the 80's. What do you guys think?

I think it's the chorus. Maybe the melody is similar to some elements of the 80's. It's probably about 5% 80's.
