You know how it goes, the parents give a kid a present that doesn't work without something else, which is then given to them as a surprise. One kid received Guitar Hero On Tour for his birthday, despite lacking a DS to play it on. His mom, of course, kept the tension on for a while, then brought out a sealed DS box.
Which was full of rocks. That wasn't part of the joke, and so Walmart was forced to give a refund, gift card, and apologies to the mother.
The kicker? This wasn't the first time the box had been returned.
She went back to Walmart, which gave her the not-our-problem treatment - until Ms. Wykle called in the media, at which point it became very much their problem.
Lol, now that's pretty amusing. Hahaha. I watched a similar story on youtube. Well, not really that similar. It was a while ago, but I'll tell it as I remember.
It was about a couple who bought their daughter a gift. Inside was not only the gift, but a knife. And so they complained, brought it back, and were on the news. The End.
Seriously... The kicker is what got me. I wonder what the first person had to go through to get them to take it back and refund it (if the person even got a refund...).
Buying pre-owned gaming items...she was stupid to not even look at the box before buying it. Has much as i've seen people buy pre-own stuff, its an obligation to show the items ( power cord / the console itself) inside the box. With an extra 5$ a year warranty on that used console / game.
Just shows how Wal-Mart is stupid. That how smart people who sell them pre-owned stuff to wal-mart can make money.
1. Buy DS
2. Go home, remove DS from package.
3. Insert a rock/group of rocks into package.
4. Take box back to Walmart and complain.
5. ????
6. Profit!
