Export Collection

Whenever I go and view my collections or favorites, I see that there is an option to export them. Now while I am not one to be afraid of computers, I have also had some problems in the past exporting files. Just wanted to know how to do this properly or if the export option is actually what I think it is. Also, do you have to pay money to Fakku when you export the files?
I know that this isn't really the right forum to post this in, but I couldn't find one more appropriate, so hear I am.
By the way, how do you get that box below all your replies that lets you list and show off your waifus?

It's free to use as it just exports a list of what is in your favorites. It exports into a json file.
