Not really, they are faster since they run through SATA as opposed to USB that externals usually have. But like I said I have a few externals and they are awesome.
[They do make Externals with External SATA ports, you just have to look for em a bit, as they can be hard to find in regular stores]
[font=Courier New]I can attest to the previous statement about eSATA ports on external drives cuz I'm using one. Sadly, most models that offer eSATA connection are premium models with prices through teh roof. Personally, I'd go with
something like this one if you want to get the most bang for your buck; at $85 for 500 gigs and from a reputable seller and brand name you can't get much better. [/font]
