Family guy steals from the Simpsons

I've seen that. The first two are legitimate but the rest are pretty much totally bullshit. Wow! Two shows where someone has a gambling problem for an episode? What could the odds possible be on that one? And having the kids taken away by child services? Must've taken a creative mind to look in the fucking newspaper and copy it.
Honestly, I really like the old Simpsons. Before around 2000-2001 the show was unparalleled and the writing was nothing short of fantastic. Family Guy started off as a compilation of the funny elements from a few shows along with it's own retarded sense of humour (which I enjoy) but it became it's own show later on and just made fun of the shows it used to copy. Now the Simpsons just imitates Family Guy by trying to duplicate it's random humour but it sucks at it. The new seasons of the Simpsons are barely funny and they just have a bunch of pointless shit going on that no one cares about. To give the show the credit it deserves, they have used an astounding number of plotlines already so they have to go somewhere. And unfortunately that somewhere happens to be right down the toilet.

yeah its nothin new that family guy copies simpsons a lot and simpsons has started desperatley trying to imitate family guy's sense of humor. really i think theyve both gone down hill quite a ways. they both shoulda given up a few years ago.

I'd say South Park is probably the best animated show right now. It's pretty much the opposite of the Simpsons. The Simpsons started off with great, witty writing, and the first few seasons of South Park were nothing but poop jokes and swearing (I used to refer to it as "that show where the kids swear all the time and the one guy dies every episode") and now South Park is the witty social commentary and The Simpsons is just a piece of crap.

but still there is nothing out there that can beat the wide range and the depths of character like The Simpsons :roll:

The Simpson's did have a great start, and so did family guy and episodes after it came back from being turned away by Fox it comes back with some more humorous episodes but now family guy and The Simpson's aren't funny anymore but still reasonable to watch >_>. South park is still something funny to watch on TV because their jokes of the media, news, and celebrities are in a better tone then other shows

i didnt really like the first season of simpsons. it didnt really get good until the 2nd season i thought. i'd say family guy dropped off after the 2nd and i havent seen enough of south park after the first few seasons, just random episodes here and there. i think you have to be in the right mood for south park, it can be hilarious or just annoying. same goes for family guy, its long gags (like when peter scrapes his knee or fights a chicken) can get pretty annoying after awhile, especially if its an episode youve already seen.
