fate/stay night

k so im new to this series and i want to learn more about it scince it seems so popular around here. i've got a few questions if anyone would care to enlighten me:

it started out as a visual novel game, is there a translated version that is playable for people outside of japan?

has the anime series been translated or subbed?
is it available? (for download or purchase)

how does the AMV relate to the series?
is a continuation of the story or more a summary of the series?

Mirror Moon are doing an english translation patch that you install on the japanese game, turning it into english. 2 of the 3 paths are currently available in english.

The AMV is just like a summary I suppose. By the AMV, I assume you mean the one linked by Raze, right?

well, I do not know for sure, but there's probably a translated version out there or being worked on, since it's a pretty popular game
once saw a site where they summaried all the game versions, so that's why I think some translation is out or being worked on.

as for the anime, yes it's subbed and yes you can download it, just go to Tokyo Toshokan and look for a torrent or find a site with some MegaUpload links
