One of the first things I usually ask couples is, "how did you meet?" I'm never looking for the typical romantic answers--I search for the answers like "at a bar. at a club." I'm consistently intrigued how those relationships turn out compared to the ones that started off in more traditional manners--like as friends or met at other social gatherings. A friend of mine basically had that sort of situation happen... he ended up getting drunk and sleeping with someone he barely knew from work during a party. They got married about a year after that, and have a kid together...

my friend had a similar experience.... only w/o the kid and marriage....
he got so hammered at our group return party that one of our friends, a girl who liked him accompanied him home.... now we could know what happened that night because next day they were all lovey dovey and holding hands when we were at the lecture room
