Sugar Ray wasn't really all that bad. They weren't my favorite, but I won't write them off as failures.
To be totally honest, there were a couple, I won't say more than 2 or 3, songs from bands like N'sync that I didn't mind listening to. I'm not sure if I actually liked them, but I certainly heard them enough to become conditioned to their music.
