Going to the military

if its the only way for you to pilot a mecha would you do it?

sign-up to military only to pilot mecha?

don't think so... military life is hard and strict besides mecha is considered one of Weapon of Mass Destruction so they will be strict to chose the pilots

well I can always be a mechanic or a test pilot...
or I can hi-jacked the mecha from the military^^

I would give Nearly anything, besides my dick and balls to pilot one of those mechas.

test pilots responsibilities are way heavier than a normal pilot..
a normal pilot just has to pilot it with given training

test pilots need to know every spec/speed/diametre of the new machine without training

same goes for the Mechanics , beleive me , normal pilots have it easy when its not in a battlefield , only time a Pilot has it hard is when he's actually fighting

I'm Currently signin up for the Australian Defence Force.. only to be part of a Counter terrorism unit for the eastern states of Australia (nothing to do with Mecha)

id only join the military just to gain trust with the higher ups and then hijack a mech =P and run free!!!

I'd just steal the mech and seize power. Then control the military as well.

It seems either test pilot, mechanic or a pilot...

I must join some military organization to pilot mecha...
or maybe i can still pilot it if mecha already come in general life like being a contractor using mecha, rescue team or such...

it just...military doesn't suit me...

I prefer being a journalist who writes articles on mecha.

If this was an anime, you wouldn't even have to join the army. You'd either be walking around and step into one by accident, or the person piloting would be dead and you'd take over or something like that. :lol:

I wouldn't join the military just to pilot a mecha. If anything, I'll probably be the guy who programmed the bloody thing. But yea, military just isn't for me. I don't have the constitution for it.

I've considered the military before, and only decided against it because I don't like having so much of my life decided by other people, pretty much.
But if I was guaranteed to be a mech pilot in some experimental program if I joined the military, sure I would.

Im also thinking about joining the australian military too, the armour corps. I've always wanted to jon the military, the disclipline, equipment and history. But now i really think about it is it really right for my future in the military?

And also if there is a mecha corp (or watever) i would probally join.

Already in an Air Force ROTC detachment to join the Air Force as a 2nd Lt just so I can get a chance to be a fighter pilot. Might as well get a mech if it's available.

just something to remeber, almost all main character from Gundam series are all civilian so whats the point in joining if youd get one lying around somewhere.

Meh. I was going to do it anyway. Giving me a Mech icing on the cake, and the biggest mistake humanity ever makes.
