Good GPU for under $130

I want to upgrade my aging PC (which is almost two years now) and the first thing that I want to change is the GPU. What good-for-gaming cards are out there for < $130 (Php 6000)?

good ones to consider are GTX260, 4850, 4870 512mb or 1gb, and 4890. I would highly recommend a 4870 since that probably gives you the best price/performance ratio. I'm basing the prices from the US market, so I don't really know how much it is where you live.

Ryuu.. over here, the GTX260, 4850, 4870 costs around Php12,000 to Php14,000. (divide that by 48 for dollar amount)
From what I know (and what my uncle's computer shop's (PC Corner) parts lists tells me) You could get a 8800 GTX.

What sort of hardware are you running at the moment?
No point having a really powerful gpu when all it'll do is wait for the cpu to catchup.
Also at what resolution will you be playing your games at?
ExESGO imo the 8800 are starting to show their age and wouldn't make that much of an upgrade he'd be better off with a 4xxx series AMD card or a 260 from Nvidia.

I would have recommended that to him.. if only if his budget wasn't Php6,000.

You have to be sure you have a Power Supply with enough watts and amps to power your video card. You need a good enough CPU that will not bottleneck your video card. Be sure your motherboard supports PCI Express 2.0 x16. Also try to have at least 2 gigs of RAM.
I would suggest getting a video card with around 1 gig of vRAM. A lot of games are coming out that are using higher res textures. If your card has only 512mb of vRAM it might not be able to run the game smoothly.

I guess I need system overhaul. My mobo cannot handle > 3.3g of RAM and 4x PCI-E.
I guess it'll not happen anytime soon.

Apparently will be sold for under $100 and its the only Nvidia card with DX 10.1. Kinda dumb to finally put that on now when DX 11 is out.

Radeon HD 4670 1gb. I upgraded from my old x1650 Pro 512mb to the HD 4670. It works like a dream. I can max out Resident Evil 5, Crysis, Project Origin, Modern Warfare 2 etc. with full settings and max AA and run smoothly.
I do still have some frame dips with Crysis but that's expected. You can find it really cheap.
