Because we already have football? You know, american football, as opposed to what you mean, which is probably soccer. Don't ask me though, I still can't figure out what's so fun about watching people do sports rather than participate in them to begin with.

I don't know why football/soccer isn't more popular here in the states. I guess we're more contact-sports people.

American football isn't fun to do in the first place. (6'2", 178 lbs, can't throw, can't catch)

Also, Europe's the center and birthplace of soccer and there's no way you can compete with that so the US simply found something of their own and making them the prime stage.

Soccer is an alright sport. I'm not from America so I don't know why it isn't as famous or accepted in other parts of the world.

Ever since I was little I was annoyed with "football" as a name for their barbaric game. They hardly even touch the fucking ball with their foot. Plus Football actually has rules saying you have to use your feet, so americans were just being douchebags to the rest of the world.(As seen in the beginning of post)

Probably. The US DOES typically like to see two cultures in the world, American, and not American.


Although, I don't really have a problem with American Football. I can't see why someone would, really. No point in anger towards a sport.

As I tell all American's who like Football, your best chance at finding a good team, in a good league, that you can support and watch the games of, is probably Premier League. The games get played on American football channels. the only thing else I've really seen is South American football on the Spanish channels.
