You can probably tell from my username that im a fan,but I like the original better,Prostitute was the only song I liked off of Chinese Democracy.Axl Rose has a great voice,Slash is one of the best guitar players i've EVER heard,I think he was better off in GnR than in poison.Though the use your illusion albums were pretty lame IMO,most of the songs sounded depressing ,though some of the songs were great,especially November Rain.Appetite For destruction is the BEST CD I have ever heard,sweet child'O mine,paradise city,and welcome to the jungle are probably their best songs.

He never was in poison,he auditioned for poison,but was rejected because he wasn't willing to dye his hair platinum blonde and wear lots of makeup.

And define best, do you mean in technical speed? Cleanliness? Variety of scales/modes? Or how many times he just makes us all feel giddy with half-step difference solos?
If its the last one then you definitely need to listen to more guitarist. Not trying to attack your opinion but it aches me when I see people say Slash is the best guitarist ever. [size=1]Because he most definitely is not, there is no best, its just your favorite.[/h]

GnR was a great band while it lasted. Probably could have lasted much longer had it not been for Axl's douchebaggery. Appetite for Destruction was indeed an excellent album. The Use Your Illusion albums were ok for me, about 50/50 good and bad.
Personally, I LOVE Slash's style. By no means is the the "best" guitarist, but he sure is entertaining.
