So, I just bought a new PC, installed it with Windows 7.
The problem is, one of my older HDD is somehow "invicible"
My HDD is your normal WD 250 Gb
-No problems with the connection Cable
The twist is
-It's properly installed and registered in the device manager
BUT, somehow it doesn't show up in "My Computer", It worked when I tried plugging to my Sister's PC, and FYI my OLDEST HDD (I have 3) is successfully detected and displayed in "My Computer"
It might just need to be activated. If you go into the Disk Management section in the Computer Management tool, you'll see a list of all connected disk drive. Right click the disk and you can set it as active.
It could also be that it has the same drive letter as another drive. Again go to the disk management and you can change the drive letter.
It will work on Vista and 7 as well. You right click Computer in the start menu or the My Computer icon on your desktop -> Manage -> and it's under Storage, then Disk Management.

There are problems like that some times if you have Different type of HDD the system cannot recognize it....... even for me i buy a seagate hdd 320gig and my old one...' don;t know what name of it" it says " cannot support something like that....
