Well, a few might have remembered I posted an Aria wallpaper I did a few weeks ago, and now I could use some advice on a Rita (Tales of Vesperia) one that I have been working on.
I have the general idea in my head of what I want, yet I can't even really describe it nevertheless seem to get it down "on paper," so to speak. I've got two different versions:
Up until this point I'm fairly happy with the wallpaper with the exception of all of the white. However, I just don't know what other simple background or trick I can do with that. I'm just not a fan of all of the white, but I don't really think any other solid color would do the trick, and I can't think of what kind of background style I could use either. I just come up completely blank.
Afterwards I added this:
And I gotta say I don't like it. I felt I needed something else in the foreground, or rather between the background and the foreground. I literally spent an hour just thinking of what other layer I could add to this wallpaper, and after all of that time I could only think of that. It wouldn't be so bad, but it just doesn't fit right. I've already gone "bold" enough to have two different styles of Rita (the slightly more cartoon-y style of the background, and the slightly more realistic style for the foreground) and when I added a third style I felt it totally underminded whatever I was trying to go for...
ARGH! I just don't know what I want. I guess what I'm asking is if you theoretically had to work with one of these wallpapers and were told to spruce it up somehow, what would you try? >.<
