Well, I just saw this, is a video from 3 days ago (10th of Feb), where a man saves a woman stuck on a railroad track, and are a split second away from being hit himself.

OMG, bless his courageous soul. I wouldn't be strong enough to push that van out of harms way quickly enough, like that. He was lucky and came out unscathed.

Two things that went wrong in my head that would've ended perfectly:
1. His friend does nothing but stares at him for the whole fucking time.
2. He stays there in the end like a attention whore. If it were me, I would've left instead of waving and possibly saying "WOW OMG, did you see that? Did you see that? Did you see me and my awesomeness son? Wooow".
But good job in saving a life, even if you were an ass.

1. It was not much his friend could do, since if he had reacted a second later, he would not have made it. Better that one is a hero, and the other can support him when he survives than that both of them tries to be heroes and one of them dies. Also, since there is so sound in the video you can't hear it, but you can see that his friend calls for him quite desperately several times.
2. Well, they were on their way to pass the track, and now there was a train in the way, lol. Also, I think he, and his friend, are kind of relieved and shaky in their knees after something like that. Being a "modest" show-off is only easy in movies.
