How/why do you think hentai got into your country?

Hentai has been around for a while now. It started off as a not so explicit thing, now it has categories like;
futanari, ero guro, lolicon/shotacon, yuri/yaoi, tentacles, ect.


The question is, how did it get so popular that other counties are translating and dubbing it. I know one of the reasons that anime/manga were brought into other countries was for entertainment, but as for the mature ones, (money aside) what do you think the companies thought that it would be a good idea to publish them in their country?

i don't think hentai movie got translate because of other reason beside money for company. but there is other reason is because it is fans doing, cause they love hentai and want to share it for other.

Otakus go to Japan, see what they got goin' on there, see it's awesomeness, then bring it home. It spreads from there.

Something else that interested me is that the companies that bought the rights to hentai outside Japan, like United States, also got the rights to uncensored it, while hentai/pornography in Japan can take months/years before they, if at all, uncensored it.

So to be blunt and answer my own question; One of the main reason that hentai is in other countries is because companies wanted money and that's how other people found out about it, which got the drawers to get more creative with different ideas, thus having all the different categories that made hentai as popular as it is today.

It's a global thing. People get perverted first, then they try out various things to satisfy their channels of lust.

Centerfolds, magazines, Playboy Channel, local porn films. Until some get tired of it and tries other things.

Then they hear about Japan's hentai industry. Either they go to Japan and get their new hentai, or get it FedEx'ed to their home (I assume that the Internet's pretty starting in the late 80's and early 90's, and hentai came in VHS). Then word gets around.

And soon it spreads all over the country, passed in countless ways year after year ^_^
