Perhaps it has something to do with it being more serialized?
Like uh.. you tend to form more of an attachment to the characters you see constant interactions with and therefor it makes it feel more impactful, akin to replicating the feelings you'd have in a real life situation.
I know that while I enjoy my oneshot type of h-manga material. I tend to derive more excitement out of serialized chapters or eroge because I develop a bond with the characters. It more closely emulates how a sexual relationship with someone important to you in real life because you have developed feelings, a bond, for said person.
At least that's my guess. I'm mostly just spouting off. XD
Yesshh That is exactly what I feel. The feeling to get attached to the characters truly makes it different than reading H-manga. Sure there are some H with good plot out there but somehow I fell like a story with H as add on feels more doki-doki rather than the other way around.

Adult manga? Neither of those are smut so you mean manga for 'adults' so Seinen.
Honestly I dont really understand smut, but based on my reading list, it look like smut genre is centered around sexual activities. Adult genre is focused on adult stuff and it doesn't need to be sexual, but it concern more to the adult life aspect, something like marriage, adult relationships, jobs responsibilities, money etc. I really don't know but CMIIW. Yeah seinen fits more I guess.
