I thank thee lord

For giving me the blessing of a 30 year old unopened bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

So I'm sitting here enjoying my Cranberry juice and vodka looking for a place to put the rest of the Vodka. When I find the legendary 30 year old bottle of Old Fitzgerald Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey that was in my house some where. I have hard story about it but I thought it was just that a story. But lord behold, I found it to be real.

Do I open it?

Make sure to enjoy it. However you like your whiskey just take your time with it and enjoy it. Bottles like that are hard to come by.

Thats exactly my point, it's a rare find, not too many people can proclaim to ave a bottle of whiskey that over 30 year old. I mean I have a bottle of Whiskey a good 10-15 year older than me.

considering you already have some alcohol id say save it for something meaningful....like a "woot! i made it thru another week at work" party.

Well, I suggest saving it for a special occasion like a promotion at work. A celebration for something awesome happening to a close friend.

I guess just save it until something awesome deserves to have it busted out.

Does it get better if you continue to keep it unopened? I absolutely have no idea about alcohol, but from what I have heard, some of them taste better, or at least soar in value, after a period of time.

The older it gets,the better it states and the higher people will bid for it if you decide to sell it,you shouldn't open it since once you do it will lose all value and stop aging,save it for something meaningful.

Save for something meaningful, BUT due lookout, search the web on the bottle and find the year in which the wiskey itself is at its top form. People do say that ''older the better'' while it is true, at 1 point a bottle can lose abit of its ''prime'' taste after waitting for too long. It almost works like wine and trust me, i know alot about wine.

And also, whiskey like that are rare and while they do sell for ALOT to people that are collectors in whiskey, for people to casually drink this kind of drink, since your mouth is not developped enough to properly know the diffrence (well you might notice it abit) from a good whiskey and a rare good whiskey.

To be honest, if your a casual whiskey drinker, you could sell it( It could go in the thousands), and buy even more whiskey. Or if you drink whiskey pretty often, know ALOT about the drink, then like i said earlier, search when it would be the best time to open it, and enjoy it on a meaningful day :)
