One of the main problems with video game based movies is that the actors usually haven't played said game, so they have no idea how they're supposed to act. That just takes you out of it completely and frustrates you when your favorite character isn't behaving the same way that he would in the video game.
I totally agree with this^ statement! Also the same can be said for movies based on Anime!
-for one, most people who watch it has no true idea of what it really is or how the characters should really act!(older adults who waste cash on any movie with fighting and flashy effects)
-The actors who took on the roles never really know anything about the characters there playing. Its most likely that they took the role cause they know the character they are playing is famous amongst the teens, and being recognized by teens means the actors fame will rise faster...
-also the people who decided to direct the movie knew nothing about the game/anime in the first place! they are just doing it for the same reason as the actors(to gain fame the quick way).
*Face-palm* "i hate Hollywood!"
