Kyou/Ryou vs Kagami/Tsukasa

Well it has been in my mind ever since I watched Lucky Star and Clannad.

Kyou/Ryou are very similar to Kagami/Tsukasa

nearly same hair color, same character, they are siblings.

Is that a coincidence ???

Yeah, I noticed it too. In one episode of Lucky Star, Konata say that the kanji for "Kyou" can also be read as "Kagami".

Kagami and Tsukasa grow up to be actoresses and have roles in CLANNAD.

Now I see Lucky Star is a Prequel to Clannad :lol:

I really think this was intentual, as in part of the humor of the show.

Yeah, the characteristics are pretty much the same, and the eyes and hair are the main factor to judge people apart in anime and if you look in Matts picture, the eye shapes are pretty similar.

The reason why I push away the idea of characters being copied is that Lucky star was realeased 6 months before Clannad. Clannad became widly popular after the release of the anime so I don't think Lucky Star tried to copy Clannad.

The visual novel was pretty well-known before the anime came out though.

True, and the similarities between Kagami/Tsukasa and Kyou/Ryou are intentional. Konata even comments on this during the series. >.>
