Legit question about Maken-Ki

How come Hiromitsu Takeda’s ecchi series never got picked up by any of the big english publishers?

I know it started out rather generic but it has improved. I honestly don’t understand the lack of western interest in Hiromitsu Takeda’s content, hentai or otherwise :(

Maken ki was only picked up in french, Italian, chinese and german outside japan.

I get that but english is the lingua franca

I've always wondered that too. However, at the very least, we have the anime. Although, I can see the need for a manga release, as the anime puts a heavy focus on the ecchi aspects than the story. Especially the filler that was the "second season", which can honestly be chocked up to an OVA series than anything.
