Male Leads: Some stereotypes?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed this, but there's a few things that have been on my mind lately.
A lot of male leads in anime, hentai, and visual novels have names with a 'kei' somewhere in it, be it the single letter like 'kagami' or something like Keisuke. Why is this?
In the 3 visual novels I've played, the lead has always managed to utter the sentence "What the heezy!?" Admittedly it makes me laugh pretty hard every time I see the text pop up on screen.
Is this a trend? Was it like this in japanese, or are the translators having fun?
Just some things bouncing around in my head.

What the hell games are you playing...? I don't think the word 'heezy' has a direct equivalent in the japanese, so it's most likely a translator interpretation.

Eh it popped up in Edelweiss, princesswaltz, and I'm forgetting the name of the other.
But no thoughts on male leads usually having a K or 'kei' in their name? Even in their last names?

Kei is just a common name, or part of a name. It happens a lot, but not really that often. I wouldn't really consider a common name as a stereotype, unless you have a common list of characteristics that people named kei share in some manner.

I guess it's just really common then. I notice it a lot whenever there's any inkling of romance in a series, but disappears in favor of more varied names in series that forgo romance.
