My new hentai review blog

For my first review, I'll be talking about Crybaby Taiga. It is a Toradora doujin by Blue-Metal. For more info on the translator and such you can visit the Fakku! page here.
The first thing that I noticed (and if you're a Toradora fan, you will as well.) is that Ryuji calls Taiga "Tiger." Yes yes yes...I know that it's just japanese flim flam that actually means tiger, but that doesn't mean that it won't bother me. Not a big deal, just annoying. The first few pages show that the artist did stay true to the character styles. As in, Ryuji says something, Taiga get embarassed and calls him and idiot, goes on from there...aaaaaaaand she gets mad. Pretty standard. A few more pages in shows the story progressing into the touchy feely "omg I love you" thing. Not bad, but not very imaginative. I mean they did that on the show... pretty easy to write that stuff. And you can even take the love story further, but this is just the basic "I realize I have feelings for him lololol" marry-go-round that is just to common. But this is porn, right?! Away with the story!! Let's see some sexi tiem. And boy does it happen fast. So in the page before the sexi tiem, we have Taiga starting to well up in tears and hugging Ryuji....then BAM COCK. The transition was a little quick for my tastes. Oh joy!! Censoring! Not a surprise...it is LAW over there. One thing about it that bothers me about it though, is the pixelation censor instead of the small black bars. For me it goes black bars>pixelation>white out the ENTIRE naughty bit. God it that mega cock block white space that pisses me off about some Gunma releases. WHY SPOIL GUNMA'S MASSIVE TALENT? That aside...let's continue. We now get into the actual sex and good bits. Of course Taiga is supasupatsundere5000 and slightly resists. But that shows that the artist is sticking with the character traits. Which is good thing in most cases, this being one of them. The art is pretty good, but I feel it could use more detail. You do see the sweat on Taiga and the saliva from her mouth, but it seems a little lacking over all. I also find that the point of view of the actual sex is a little...off. Kinda seems like they weren't trying to focus on the actual sex. Which I'm not sure why they would WANT to do that, but who's to say they wanted to do that? Now I'm not here to talk about the translation. I don't like it very much, but I thank the gods for people that actually translate this stuff. I say this because on page 19 Taiga says, "Ejaculate!! Fill my vagina!!" Now the TL note says that is VERBATIM what she says. So for that...what the hell Blue-Metal? That just...doesn't really get my juices a flowin'. Quite the opposite actually. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm a crazy man!! Who knows? Oh well. And in the end Ryuji does as she says and pumps her full of devil glue from his shame place....the end. That's it. No after sex chit chat (not much of it, that is.) or story line. Just a creme a la vagoo and some post-doujin art pages. Well that was fun, eh boys and girls??
So now for the summary.
Art was okay, but could have been alot better. Quality was fine, just not very detailed. Story was VERY common and shallow, but hey...it's porn. Some questionable dialogue and the doujin was short. Doujins like this usually are short so no big deal there.
Overall it was okay, but not a FAPFEST '09.
I give it a 2.5 out of 5.
