New person... yay!?

Hey i am new to this here art and digital graphics side of the forums aswell as really all the forums.

There are two things that im a not really sure about.

firstly wither or not the themes of my artwork will suit peoples tastes (fantasy - old times/war that sorta stuff)

and secondly i prefer to do all my drawings buy hand with real pencils onto paper, again i know some people prefer drawing tabs.

Ok well enough blabbering from me:

Any and all critisism is wanted. And ideas on improving the qualilty/invisiblilty or the actual drawing.

I like all themes (just as long as they aren't snuff themes).

Well, since you're looking for real, not comical input, I'll be honest. The torso is a bit thick, but I'd be an ass if I didn't tell you how well you did with that cape. The blade isn't too bad either, but its no comparison to the ripples in the cape.
---My favorite parts are the cape, the sword's hilt, and the hair. I don't know if you scribbled the hair or if you took a half hour to individually draw each follicle, but whatever you're doing keep doing it. That hair makes him look old and gruff, a kind of "wise old knight" stereotype that we fans are suckers for.

But I would still use the pencil and paper method.

I've advised this all the time but, I think you should get a mechanical pencil. And work more on your lines, make them thiner and smoother. It can do wonders. ^^

Good job and keep drawing. Oh! And I love armor stuffs so I look forward to see what you do next.

Thanks for the input guys i will take it into account and make some changes and probably post the finished version soon enough.

OK! It took alot longer than expected to get this finished, i decided to start all this other random shit and also tried to learn how to draw anime characters - failing miserably again.... - anyway here is the finished project of "Lone Warrior". Not many big changes have been made but there are alot of minor (maybe not noticable changes)

I don't know if you slimmed down the torso, but the shading definately helps give character. ...Sorry for the pun...

Seriously, I like it. The hair's messy and you've given us more of a face (still with the gruff facial hair! Sweet!). The sword is actually distinguishable and, as minor as it may be, the dark shading of his fingers lends his grip a nice force. All in all, it's a nice improvement. Thanks for not screwing with the cape like other artists would've. You stepped forward, not backward.

(Women are harder to draw, even in armor, so don't worry about giving him a lass anytime soon. Though a villain...) Keep up the good work!
