New to this

I was really thinking of taking this as a hobby for over the summer. However, I have almost no clue on what to do. I am currently looking at a figure for Weissritter or Alteisen but no clue if it is any good or not. Both seem to be within my skill level. So any help would be appreciated

No response -_-... Can I get any feedback on this? Just want to know if the price is right, if it is any good, and possibly other site I might look into.

Looking that You'll start with a 1/144 mecha is a good start. Both of them looks good and they have the same price, so it's up to you to pick. But I prefer the Alteisen first, because it looks easier. :D

Sorry, can't give much feedback, since I have not build a Super robot kit, I only build Gunpla. :roll:

Well I was thinking either one of these or if people said they were bad, go with Gunpla first. Also what would be some tools needed for this? I figure some clippers and sandpaper would be all for the basic kits

From all the tools in my gunpla toolkit, the most used tool is the Clippers, Sandpaper and Pinset? (the pincer thingy) to get a strong grip on the stickers. Don't want the stickers slip from your hand and get blown away (almost happened to me).

But if you want a "level 1" gunpla, try Gundam (RX-78) first. That Alteisen and weiisritter looks a bit complicated even for me.

Try asking Mr.Bushido, his collection is larger and wider than me. :D

lol I know it looks complicated but it is kinda what I was looking for. Something cool and not too complex but hard enough that making it won't take a hour or two. Rather not spend all of the housing money on this kinda stuff just so I won't be bored over the summer.

I'm not sure about Kotobukiya's model kit, while I admit they do come up with nice figurines I kind of have doubt when it comes to srw model kits. So I can't say much since I never buy any Kotobukiya model kits.

I would suggest AlteseinRiese, since it have more weapon to pose with and the colouring looks much better than the ReinWeiretter, I still can't get myself to like the green plant thingie on its joints...

Yeah I kind of understand on the Weiss since its the ATX team main mecha, but I'll get Alt first then Weiss if I intend to buy both of them. Then do the Rampage Ghost attack pose, that would be fun. I hope the Weiss will get a more better upgrade if they make a new OG game.

I am fairly certain to get both. Main deciding point is if I had fun making it and if it turns out alright.

Well have fun then. Just a tip, make sure you check that you have all of the parts before cutting and assembling them, you can refer to the assembly instruction pamphlets that comes with the kit. Its horrible after assembling to realize you have 2 of the same part and one of the part is missing.
