Philippine's Paranormal Creatures

I'm from the Philippines and there are a lot here than just ghost, I'll give short descriptions and if ur more interested try and google them...

1.Tikbalang- Half-man and Half-horse but unlike a centaur the head in the horse part
2.Dwende- much like a elf but more human like
3.Kapre- think of hagrid in harry potter they resemble him so much except the bushy beard
4.White Lady- name says it all
5.Black Lady- same
6.Diwata- there fairies except nude
7.Maligno- think of gnomes short stubby fellows

This is all i can think off cause these are all i saw.

Add engkanto, and aswang to the list too.

actually Engkanto are the same as Malignos difference is Engkantos are the good kind and i never plan to see an aswang....evah

i have never seen one of this creatures before
in my life i only seen them in many pictures
and movies i leave in the Philippines though.....

Yes there fairly popular in the "horror" film industry here. You'll be amazed by some of them because the the accuracy

dwende -- dwarf, although not D&D/tolkien/Disney dwarf
tiyanak -- unbaptized undead infant

mananangal or wakwak - aswangs who have bat wings that flies while leaving the lower half of their body.

mantio (hiliganon term) similar to kapre but taller and meaner.

you mean monsters can suck infants with there tounges
even though the infant is still inside in the mothers womb?

man those monsters are awesome!

I read the graphic novel "Mythology Class" thats my only source of knowledge regarding Paranormal creatures in the Philippines except the White lady and Black lady (rumor has it that there were several white ladies in my old high school)

yeah, and their weakness if you put onions and salt on their "stub"(the lower half of their body) before they can return. They will die, because they cannot withstand sunlight.

Manananggal could also be referred to as "Tik-tik" btw.

Anyways, have any of you guys truly encountered such creatures? Do you actually believe in their existence?

I sure haven't seen any of the sort that would make me want to believe but whenever I go in some unfamiliar place, I'm very cautious/wary not to step on any sort of ant hill; Nuno sa punso, if you know what I'm referring to.

Those living in nuno sa punso are either malignos or dwendes.There generally friendly so if you pass by one just ask permission to go through while saying sorry and DON'T RUN"

I'm Filipino and I went to the Philippines once... I went to the Province( I've heard that place is really haunted). I visually saw a baby lamb throat being slit, as he cry's My aunt told me that Maligno comes after hearing an animal shriek and comes and turns people into stone
