So just last week I was talking to a few of my friends and they were wondering Why do Pirates and Ninjas fight each other. It was easy to answer so I gave them the whole story.
Long ago there was once pirates and ninjas. Two already bitter enemies who hated one another for past wrongs. It is said that a forbidden love affair between The Pirate lords son, Robert and The mysterious, nameless Princess of the Head ninja clan. After a year or so their love came to a tragic end when a ninja scout spotted them together. Soon after that Robert was assassinated by a ninja.*SUPRIZED YA THERE* Once hearing the news the princess killed herself.*BIG SHOCKER*
Both leaders were outraged and so the epic blood bath began! Fights on land and sea raged between clans of ninjas and pirated. The battles went on unchecked for years until finally something stood up. The Dragons finally came down from there Flying cloud fortress of death to stop the insanity. Interestingly enough they didn't listen so
*SUPRIZE SUPRIZE*...the dragons banished them to the conscienceness of the universe. To this day they fight to the bitter end.
P.S. : that was a bunch of bull crap if you want the real story pm me. Please don't worry the real story has vikings.
/swt Probably the only thing worse than Naruto and Bleach would be One Piece.
Couldn't disagree more. One Piece is great, it does better then any other show of getting you to actually like/care about the characters. Naruto and Bleach aren't terrible or anything, just super overrated. (Granted if you go by the American version then One Piece is indeed a massive steaming pile...)
A couple of things: Naruto focuses way too much on Sasuke after the Chunin exams, and Bleach's action is disappointing, to be very frank, with lots of stops and starts and interruptions that make the action drag out over several episodes, only slightly more condensed than Dragonball Z.
Compare that to, say, Nanoha's battle with Vita in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, or Archer's battle with Berserker in Fate/Stay Night.
Notice something? Besides Nanoha's transformation, neither one of these has any interruptions in the action, and that makes them a lot more fun to watch than Ichigo vs Byakuya.
Now what's wrong with One Piece? No idea, never seen it. :?

I wouldn't really compare One Piece to Naruto/Bleach just because it has a totally different feel to it. It's a little more about the characters then the action. Sure there's plenty of action, but every major fight seems more about getting a better feel about who the characters are rather then a series of "oh that was cool" moments. It certainly wont appeal to everyone though.
