Problem with Logitech USB Headset

This could most likely be a problem with my settings but when i plug in the headset, all that works is the microphone. Sound still comes from the speakers and never from the headphones themselves. I have to put in ear buds and put the headset over them to play games. Is my headset broken or is it some setting i havent seen yet?

I'm going to go ahead and assume the headset is broken. Unless it came with a CD. Did it?

Try it with another computer and see if you have the same problems. And as Unsigned mentioned, try to install drivers for it in the event that it is not plug-n-play.

There was no cd and it also doesnt work on my desktop either

So yeah, make sure it's plugged in all the way.

Now, return/exchange it for another. I had a Logitech Mouse and Keyboard. It was pretty cool but didn't work very well. Maybe when you exchange, don't get Logitech. I think that's smart.

I find that Logitech generally makes relatively good computer peripherals, namely mice and keyboards. But I will have to agree with you that there is probably something defective with sevennights' headphones.

It is possible that the drivers for the headset are not installed, otherwise if could be that your audio settings are switched on for onboard motherboard sound rather then your sound card.

BTW Logitech headsets suck really bad....but they have superb mouses and keyboards at that.

I have a G5 with my iMac and a VX Nano with my MacBook. They both work perfectly.

DUNNO HOW YOU FIXED IT MAN BUT I WILL STILL POST HOW YOU CAN FIX IT JUST IN CASE MY METHODS ARE BETTER ALTERNATIVES!!!!!!!

EASY MODE: UNPLUG SPEAKERS, COMPUTER WILL PROBABLY DEFAULT TO THE HEADSET

SLIGHTLY HARDER BUT STILL FUCKING EASY MODE: CONTROL PANEL -> SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES -> CLICK THE AUDIO TAB -> LOOK UNDER SOUND PLAYBACK, MAKE SURE THAT THE DEFAULT DEVICE IS THE LOGITECH USB HEADSET OR WHATEVER THE FUCK ITS CALLED[size=1] i[/h]
