Proxy Software

Hi there Fakkuers,
im searching for a Proxy Software.
Unfortunately i have absolutely no clue about what program i should use.
As for what i need it? Gaming (Nope Jacob didn`t IP-Ban me ^^)
If`ve already tested Tor https://www.torproject.org/index.html.en but considering the speed, it`s not very useful.
I hope somebody could give me a tip.

It depends on the problem you are trying to solve.
Usually you dont need software to use a proxy, since
a proxy is just another mashine letting you use it as
a gateway so it looks like to everybody else that you are
at that mashine.
But you can use proxies at many levels depending on what you
want, so I need to know what you are trying to achive by
using a proxy, to be able to help?
(ultra surf is a different kind of proxy which just routes all trafic through a single port to cheat an external firewall)
